Treasure Island

Blogging while touring Nationally and across Queensland were the team from Treasure Island.

Pirates, buried treasure, sword fights, treasure maps, muskets!

Queensland Theatre Company and Matrix Theatre bring you this classic children’s story, in a new adaptation with sixteen characters and two actors.

The lights dim, the music swells, and wrapped in the magical embrace of Cloudland, the dance begins…

The wonderful dancers and crew of the Queensland Ballet Company entertained Queensland in June and sent through some stunning photos and stories of life on the road.

Erth’s Dinosaur Petting Zoo

It’s a petting zoo but not as you know it.  Erth’s awesome prehistoric creatures, from cute baby dinos to teeth-gnashing giants entertained audiences across Queensland throughout May 2012.

Flamenco Fire

Blogging while they’re on-the-road touring from far North Queensland to the Southern Downs are the passionate and fiesty Flamenco Fire cast with their performance, Primavera Mia.

Setting Queensland audiences alight wherever they go, Flamenco Fire’s spectacular production Primavera Mia (My Spring) is told through beautifully crafted dance ensembles, transporting you to the spring fiestas of Spain. Alongside a stellar collection of Australia’s finest Flamenco artists, the performance also features special guest artists direct from Spain.

shake & stir theatre co

Blogging on-the-road for us are the wonderful cast and crew from shake & stir theatre co, touring their performance Statespeare.

Get excited Queensland audiences! Fresh from a 30 performance run across the Nation, all three Artistic Directors of shake & stir theatre co (Nelle, Nick & Ross) are on the road in this performance. You’ll get to know them more over the coming weeks (and hear about the trials of running a company while on the road!) – but for now we would love to introduce:

The crew hit the road Saturday 9 July and are joined by the cast flying in to Emerald on Tuesday 12 July with their first performance at the Capella Civic Theatre on Wednesday 13 July! Stay tuned!
